ScreenshotAgent is an AI-powered screenshot automation platform for product teams.

Core capabilities:
- AI annotations: mark up a screenshot by drawing on top of it. Name the target in plain language ("the Approve button"); a vision model finds it and ScreenshotAgent draws the mark. The screenshot's pixels are never changed. Marks: hand-drawn circle, arrow, highlight, callout (numbered badge and short label), blur sensitive data, browser frame. Save one as a rule and it runs on every new capture; the target is found again each time, so the mark follows it. Rules can target a CSS selector instead (exact and free). Each result is saved as a new version and the original is kept. Also available through the REST API (POST /api/v1/screenshots/{id}/ai-annotations) and the MCP server (annotate_screenshot).

No native Zendesk or Intercom app; Intercom copies images on insert, so embeds update on their own only where the help center loads the image from its URL. - Screenshots of pages behind a login: save a test account on a project (username and password stored encrypted), and captures sign in, keep the project's browser session between runs, and recapture on a schedule or from CI. Logins that need a fresh one-time code, an email link or a captcha can't be automated; use a demo account with a password.
- Screenshot version history and approvals: set Updates to "Needs approval" per screenshot or project and new captures wait for someone to approve them before embeds change. List, compare and approve waiting versions over the REST API (GET /api/v1/approvals) and the MCP server (list_waiting_versions, get_version_diff, approve_version).
- Selector annotations: border, highlight and hide elements by CSS selector (exact, no allowance used).

- Searchable screenshot library: every capture records the page title, headings, a short description of the layout and notable elements, UI element labels and visible text, so agents and people can find screenshots by what they show. Search matches by meaning, not just keywords ("change password" finds "Update credentials"), and merges that with full-text keyword search; quoted phrases and -exclusions match exactly. It searches recorded text and descriptions, not image pixels. In the app, each result shows the matching text highlighted or is marked "Matched by meaning". The library holds every screen you have captured or Page Discovery found, kept current on a schedule or after each deploy, and every plan includes unlimited users. - AI annotations are a separate allowance from captures. One AI annotation is one marked-up image that needed AI to find its target. A browser frame alone and CSS-selector rules are free. Annotations that find nothing are not counted. When the allowance runs out, annotations pause until the next billing period and the plain capture is kept.
