ScreenshotAgent vs Arcade

Arcade builds interactive demos for marketing and onboarding. ScreenshotAgent keeps static product screenshots current in docs and on your site.

The short verdict

If you want visitors to click through your product on a landing page or in onboarding, Arcade is the better tool. It is built for that, starts free, and its paid plan starts at $50 a month. In December 2025 Arcade also announced demos that an agent updates when your UI changes, so freshness is no longer only our selling point. ScreenshotAgent is the better fit when the output you need is ordinary images: a PNG in a help article, a hero shot on a pricing page, or a dozen screenshots in a docs site that should all refresh after a release.

  • Engineers want to trigger refreshes from CI or a coding agent.

Where Arcade is better

Engagement
An interactive demo shows more of a product than a still image, and Arcade does this well. We do not make interactive content.
Motion
Arcade exports GIF and MP4. ScreenshotAgent produces still images only.
Entry price
Arcade has a free plan and a paid plan from $50 a month. Our entry plan is $199 a month.

FAQ

Does Arcade update demos automatically?
Arcade announced "auto-updated demos that keep up with product changes, created by our Agent" in its December 3, 2025 changelog. Its pricing page does not say which plans include it, so check with Arcade.
Can Arcade produce static screenshots for docs?
Arcade turns demos into step-by-step guides you can share or download as PDF. We did not find a per-image PNG export on its pricing page.
Can I use both?
Yes. Many teams put an interactive demo on the marketing site and use static screenshots in help articles. The two do not conflict.
