Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms explain what you can expect from ScreenshotAgent and what we expect from you. We’ve tried to keep them in plain English. Please read them, especially the sections on capturing sites you’re authorized to access and on site credentials.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Cuyahoga Valley Code Shop LLC, an Ohio limited liability company that operates ScreenshotAgent (“ScreenshotAgent,” “we,” “us”) covering your use of screenshotagent.com, the ScreenshotAgent web app, embed URLs, and API (together, the “Service”).

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organization, you agree to these Terms for that organization and confirm you have authority to do so. In that case, “you” means the organization.

2. Accounts and teams

  • You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to create an account.
  • Give us accurate information, including a working email address that you verify.
  • Keep your password, two-factor codes, and API tokens secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and tokens.
  • Team owners control their team’s workspace, members, roles, and billing. Content created in a team belongs to that team, and the team owner is responsible for members’ use of the Service.
  • Tell us right away at support@screenshotagent.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What the Service does

ScreenshotAgent loads web pages that you or your team specify, captures screenshots of them on demand or on a schedule, stores each version, and serves them at stable URLs. Optional features include automatic page discovery, capturing pages behind a login, annotations, AI annotations, hiding elements by CSS selector, version approval, and a Recapture API.

Embed URLs are public. Anyone who has a screenshot’s embed URL can view that image without signing in. Do not embed or share URLs for screenshots that contain information you are not comfortable making public.

We may change, add, or remove features over time. If we remove a feature you pay for in a way that materially reduces the Service, we will give you reasonable notice.

4. Your content and your authorization to capture

“Your Content” means the URLs, settings, credentials, comments, and other material you provide, plus the screenshots and page data the Service captures at your direction. You keep all rights to Your Content.

You give us a limited license to access the pages you point us to, and to store, process, display, and transmit Your Content as needed to run the Service for you, including through the subprocessors listed in our Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you own the sites you capture or have permission from the owner to access and capture them in this way, and that capturing and storing them does not violate any law, contract, or third-party right.

5. Site credentials and browser sessions

To capture pages behind a login, you can give us site login credentials or let us save a browser session (such as cookies and local storage) for a capture profile. We encrypt credentials at rest and use them only to sign in and capture the pages you configure. During automatic page discovery, the credentials are passed to our AI provider’s agent so it can sign in.

  • Only provide credentials you are authorized to share. We strongly recommend a dedicated demo or test account with the least access needed.
  • Do not provide credentials for accounts that can move money, change production data you care about, or access sensitive personal data.
  • You can update or remove saved credentials and sessions at any time. Deleting your account permanently deletes the credentials and sessions stored in teams you own. To have anything purged sooner, email support@screenshotagent.com.
  • Automated sign-ins may trigger security alerts, rate limits, or lockouts on the target site. You are responsible for making sure automated access is allowed there.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Capture, crawl, or access any site, page, or account you are not authorized to access.
  • Bypass, disable, or work around CAPTCHAs, paywalls, rate limits, robots controls, authentication, or other access controls on a site you do not own or have permission to test.
  • Capture, store, or distribute illegal content, including child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes someone else’s intellectual property or privacy.
  • Collect personal data about people without a lawful basis, or build surveillance, scraping, or data-harvesting products.
  • Target internal networks, cloud metadata endpoints, or other infrastructure that is not a public website.
  • Send excessive load to any site, probe or attack the Service, or interfere with other customers.
  • Resell or provide the Service to others as a standalone screenshot service without our written permission.
  • Violate any applicable law, including export control and sanctions laws.

We may block URLs, pause captures, or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate this section. Where practical, we will contact you first.

7. AI-assisted features

Some features, such as automatic page discovery, use third-party AI models (currently from Anthropic and Google) to analyze pages and decide what to capture. AI annotations send a screenshot to a Google AI model, which returns the position of the element to mark. ScreenshotAgent then draws the mark and saves the result as a new version. The original capture is kept and its pixels are not altered. AI output can be wrong or incomplete. Review discovered pages and captured screenshots before you publish them. The model can mark the wrong element or miss sensitive data, so check blurred screenshots before you publish them.

8. Trials, subscriptions, and billing

  • New teams may get a free trial with a limited number of captures and days. When the trial ends or runs out, capturing stops until you subscribe.
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, and renew automatically each month until you cancel. Plan prices and capture limits are listed on our pricing page.
  • You can cancel at any time from your team’s billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
  • Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not give credits for partial months or unused captures.
  • Prices do not include taxes. You are responsible for applicable taxes, which may be added to your invoice.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Changes apply from your next billing period after the notice.
  • If a payment fails, we may pause captures or downgrade your team until the balance is paid.

9. Our intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these Terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation to you.

10. Third-party sites and services

The Service interacts with websites and services we do not control, including the sites you capture and the tools where you embed screenshots. We are not responsible for their content, availability, or terms.

11. Account deletion and termination

You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. When you do, we delete your account and the teams you own, including their screenshots, stored credentials, and sessions, as described in our Privacy Policy. Embed URLs for deleted screenshots stop working.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if your use creates risk for us or others. If we terminate for reasons other than your breach, we will refund any prepaid fees for the unused part of the current billing period.

12. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that captures will always succeed, be accurate, or be available at a particular time.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or US$100 if greater.

14. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against third-party claims arising from Your Content, the sites and credentials you direct us to use, or your violation of these Terms or the law.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Ohio have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may seek injunctive relief anywhere.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will notify account owners by email or in the app at least 30 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
