Introduction

ScreenshotAgent captures, manages, and serves always-fresh screenshots of your web application.

What is ScreenshotAgent?

ScreenshotAgent is an AI-powered screenshot automation platform. Give it a URL and it will discover every page of your application, capture pixel-perfect screenshots across viewports, and serve them through permanent embed URLs that always show the latest version.

Traditional documentation screenshots are a maintenance nightmare—they go stale the moment your UI changes. ScreenshotAgent solves this by keeping your screenshots in sync with your product automatically, on a schedule you define.

Key capabilities

  • AI annotations — Circle, highlight, point at or blur part of a screenshot by naming it (“the Approve button”). AI finds it and the mark is drawn on top, so the screenshot’s pixels are never changed. Rules mark every new capture.
  • AI Page Discovery — An AI agent explores your application like a real user, discovering pages, modals, dropdowns, and interactive states.
  • Multi-viewport capture — Capture desktop, tablet, and mobile in one click. Each viewport becomes a variant you can embed independently.
  • Scheduled recapture — Set a schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) and screenshots stay current without manual effort.
  • Selector annotations — Outline or highlight elements, or hide them entirely, using CSS selectors. They are applied on every capture.
  • Permanent embed URLs — Every screenshot gets a stable URL. Embed it in Markdown, HTML, Notion, or any CMS. The image updates; the URL never changes.
  • Version history — Every capture is stored as a version. Roll back, compare, or pin a specific version for embedding.
  • Team collaboration — Comments with pin annotations, @mentions, role-based access, and version approval workflows.

Who is it for?

ScreenshotAgent is built for product teams that maintain visual documentation—help centers, knowledge bases, onboarding guides, marketing pages, and API docs. If you have screenshots that need to stay current, ScreenshotAgent automates the work.
